ROESHOT HILL ALLOTMENT ASSOCIATION

Notice of the Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of Roeshot Hill Allotment Association will take place on Monday 8th June 2015 at 7.30pm  for 7.45 pm
at the Somerford ARC, Southey Rd.

According to the constitution nominations for Chairman, officers and committee members should be received by Sunday 30th May at the trading hut. Nominations must be written by a proposer and seconded by another association member. The person proposed must, of course, be an association member.

If members have any motions for debate these should be proposed and seconded before handing in by 30th May.

That is the formal bit.

In reality the committee consists of 7 members when it should be 10. We do not have a chairman and the secretary is to stand down after 12 years with a one year break in the middle.  We do need volunteers to join the committee and certainly a secretary for minutes and administration. There will be plenty of help in the transfer of documents and systems. We meet every 8 weeks or so.

At least one other very important job will become vacant after the 2016 AGM.

There is unfinished business over the future relocation of the site and in RHAA’s contract with the borough council. We have volunteers for specific jobs but do need fresh minds to cope with these important tasks and manage the site. We cannot leave it to Christchurch Borough Council.

If anyone is interested could they please inform a committee member or ring 01202 424989.Younger members are especially welcome.

Please do not be bashful. There is a committee meeting before the AGM which anyone interested could attend.

Alan Ruck (Secretary RHAA)
