Celebrating the Green Flag Community Award at the Summer Show 2014
Harvest Festival Appeal from Tina Baker and St Johns, Purewell
One of the allotment holders I recently spoke to suggested I contact you with my request.
Later this week 11:30am Sunday 28th September St. John's Purewell is celebrating Harvest Festival. I realise this is a bit cheeky, but would you know if any of your fellow allotment holders have any surplus flowers, fruit or vegetables they would be willing to donate to the display?
We already have three large pumpkins, 3 large marrows, apples and onions (no Cinderella!)
The plan is that after the service we will sell off the produce and donate the money to the local Food Bank.
If you or the RHAA can donate any produce, we'd like to receive any donated produce by or on next Saturday. We start creating the display this Wednesday morning so the church is open from 10am, open Friday and Saturday from 10am until 2pm.
If it makes things easier I'm happy to collect any produce.
We will also ensure we acknowledge RHAA on the display poster.
best wishes and kind regards

If you are able to respond with a gift of produce, please let a committee member know at the Trading Hut on Sunday or when you next bump into one of us.
