According to the constitution nominations for Chairman, officers and committee members should be received by Sunday 21st May at the trading hut. Nominations must be written by a proposer and seconded by another association member. The person proposed must, of course, be an association member.
If members have any motions for debate these should be proposed and seconded before handing in by 21st May.
This year the committee is slightly below strength in numbers but 5 members will still stand down at the AGM. If there are no volunteers to replace them they can be re-elected to the committee - it’s in the Constitution - but new members are not only welcome but essential! We have vacancies for three new members of the committee. It would be a very great help to have younger members of the association coming forward. The key jobs of Chairman, Plot Allocation, Web Site Manager and Secretary could stay unchanged unless someone has a burning desire to take over. We have just elected a new Treasurer.
John Batchelor volunteered to be chairman on a three month trial basis, has done a year and is coming back for more. We do need more, working committee members especially concerning the Trading Hut

Please do not be bashful. There is a committee meeting before the AGM which anyone interested could attend.
