There was much to do for the Association this morning with sorting out the position of the greenhouse being set up on the 'Disabled' plot and how to deal with the heaps of rubbish in front of the middle horse litter bin. So I had little time to work on my own plot. My Asparagus is still green and one plant is still sending up shoots when I would expect it to be dying down. However, I must clear my compost bin to give room for me to stack the weeds and grass I am collecting at a rapid rate and the Asparagus needs a good mulch for the winter. I decided to cut down the fronds but the weeds had got so thick and big that I had to weed the patch by hand - a long tedious job! Mulching will have to wait until my next visit. The Raspberries are still producing and I got a reasonable serving but not the best quality. I also cut down the two tomato plants growing inside my greenhouse frame and I will take them home to try ripening them after checking out the Youtube website of 'Growveg'. Comments are closed.
