Caring for Wildlife
Just a couple of pointers about the wildlife on our allotment:
We should be able to co-exist comfortably with our wildlife if we are just aware.
Thank you
- Be mindful strimming as there may be a hedgehog nestling in the long grass
- Be careful when removing black plastic covering ground as adders have been seen. Adders will generally go away and hide if they hear you coming. Should you get bitten go directly to A & E.
- If a swarm of Bees settles on your plot, do not approach them. They will probably be resting and then move on. If they do not, there is a number on the gate notice board where you can contact a bee keeper to assist you.
