More Leaves!

17/11/2022

After using the trailer to take household rubbish to the tip I decided to collect a some bags of leaves that I knew my neighbour had collected from his garden. However he was not in so I could only load up a couple as they are too heavy for me to stack them on top of each other in the trailer.
At the plot I unloaded one bag into an already half filled bag, over-filling it somewhat. I use slightly smaller builders bags half filled to transport the leaves as they are easier to handle but I store leaves I cannot fit into the bin in full size builders cubic metre bags. However, this bag was rather fuller than usual so I finished up laying an empty bag on top to stop the leaves blowing away.
When I emptied the second bag into a larger one (green in the picture below) I was able to fold the sides in to cover the contents and lay a timber baulk over it to seal it.

That's the first layer of bags of leaves almost finished already and I haven't started on emptying out on to the plot the contents of the bin of leaves from autumn 2020 - the one on the right of the green bag!
That's the bin I should be using for this year's leaves!
