Sorting leaves - and repairs!

Having managed to fork out 2 bags of autumn 2021 leaves into the leafmould bin yesterday, I forked the leaves from the last bag onto the top of the bin until I could lift what was left up into the bin and covered them all. Then I used ropes to strap up the opening pallet that was sagging out into the track before I want to dig out the contents.
After that I dragged the first bag of this autumn's leaves into place beneath the crab apple tree.
Feeling thirsty I made a lovely cup of coffee on my Ghillie kettle and chatted to some neighbouring plotters and gave permission to next door to put weeds etc into my compost bin adding to my future compost. There was lots of bindweed in her bucket but recently I saw on TV that one of the experts composts bindweed with no problems - worth a try as drowning the roots as a bit of a procedure.
Then conscious that last time I went into the brassica cage the roll of netting closing off the doorway had fallen down on me I went to sort it out. I had brought a new length of timber to cut down and screw up to replace the bit that had split, fitting the hooks to hold the batten and rolled netting up when the doorway was open.
That done I went home for lunch well satisfied with that mornings work.
